"This is the Place"

What a great time we had at "This is the Place."  My sweet friend Jenny's mom works there and we had talked about going and we finally did it so thank you so much Jenny!  We had so much fun and there is so much to do there!  What a fun, adventurous day with great kids and great friends!

We started out at the Petting Zoo area and even got pony rides

 The kids got to milk a cow!  Okay, it wasn't a real cow but it did have utters with something resembling milk in them and a bucket :)  They thought they were pretty cool

This picture is kind of dark but I love it!  Austin was so excited to feed the goats but they were pretty big and taller than him so when they did come over, he got a little freaked out but still tried to feed them - way to go brave boy!

 At first this may just look like Austin looking at some grey rocks but if you look in the water, you'll see a giant hog that he is trying to pet :)

 Next we went to the Blacksmith shop and man, this was a hit!  Look at all of them!  They were completely engaged in everything they saw - so fun!

Austin said after we left, "mommy, I really want to be a blacksmith when I grow up!"  That is a great profession sweet pea!

They had so much fun "pick coloring" - you use a little wood stick to scrape the black away to see underlying color - so fun!

 We made our way to the arrowhead necklace making table and loved it!  They were in heaven because these were necklaces "for boys and girls" - they're so funny!

The necklaces were close to the "panning for gold" boat and mini-river.  They really didn't have any idea what they were doing but had a great time doing it - it was a bit tricky to find the gold but still we all loved it!

 Next we were on to a different train ride; one a little more their size :)

 We then decided to do a little leather marking - Jax was a pro!

 My Rio chose to mark her leather with "beautiful flowers and hearts."

 Austin loved it too and had a blast - look at his smiling face :)

We finished our day at "This is the Place" with their splash pad!  It was so much fun - we had a great day and loved every minute of it!
