Egg Drop (kindergarten) & Guitar Hero

While Spence was out of town, the kids had a project for school to do an egg drop.
Umm..yah...not sure how to do that at all.
But...when there is a need, mommy goes to google!
Google to the rescue for sure!
So we did one wrapped in a ton of bubble wrap, another in this sponge and duct taped and the third inside a toilet paper roll with marshmallows on the sides to cushion.

Here we go!!!  Who's will make it?
The staff up on the roof and their teacher Mrs. Cherry ready to throw them off the roof.
Rio's totally made it!
Woo-hoo! The toilet paper and marshmallows worked like a charm.  She got two candies for the win.
Jaxon's was the sponge and well, it didn't make it sadly but he still got a candy for the effort and lastly, Austin's bubble wrap (who did not want his picture taken) didn't make it either :(  So mommy was 1/3 this year.  I'm already looking for what will make it next year.
It was a really fun project for me to help them with.

These cute cousins came over to play one night while Andrew and Kisty had a work function they needed to go to.
We were lucky to have Preston and Ethan over.  They sure love being with their cousins.
And lastly, we busted out Rock Band again and these 4 rockers decided to take it upon themselves to do all 4 parts!  So fun to watch them - it wasn't the best performances but it was super fun!

Logan's last day @ Little Gym

For Logan's last day at Little Gym, they had us come and help them do a bead snake and get their award for completing a year there.
Logan did awesome on his snake and had so much fun.
Logan with his teacher Miss Tina.  She had her work cut out for her with this rowdy group of boys and she did great.  His original teacher Miss Sarah ended up leaving and then Miss Tina picked up this class and man...they are a handful but so cute!
Logan with his little buddy Stetson.
Miss Tina giving out the awards to all the boys.  They were so excited!
Here's your medal cutie pie!
Great job Logan!  Love you so much and I'm so proud of you going to school on your own and being (mostly) happy doing so.
Silly Jett was having a moment so Melissa decided to get the award for him :)  Love her!  She's hilarious!

Silly boys!
*Stetson, Logan, Bruce, Miss Tina and poor Jett* - Love that kid.
I had to post all three of these because I just love Logan's faces.  He makes more faces than anyone I know in such a short amount of time.  Love him!
Great job Logan!  Proud of you for working hard.

Swimming with the Fanks and Hiking to the Bridge

We love when we get to see our Fankhauser cousins because it is really rare, sadly.  So, this beautiful morning, we got to go over and Rio got the privilege of wearing Anna's mermaid tail.
Can I just say heaven?  She was in absolute HEAVEN!
Sky hanging with Jax, Blake Logan, Halle and Luke.
So fun!  Love watching kids in the water - they just love it.

We also went over another day to play there again and loved every minute!
We brought balloons and the kids filled them up and played and played with them.  So fun.
This kid...pure joy in the sun and water.
Austin loves playing and making others laugh.
My mom came with us this time and we all loved having her there.

Then, another day while Spence was gone, I took the kids on an evening hike up to the Suspension Bridge.
I really was hoping that by the "end of the day," it would have cooled off a little and well, I was totally wrong.  IT WAS HOT, HOT!
However, these kids as per usual as amazing hikers and never complain and made it to the top.
Awesome bridge right?
It is HUGE and so fun to walk across this gap in the mountain.
That's a long way down...
...but beautiful up top.
Great job kiddos.  Love hiking with you.
The kids said I had to take some pictures of the scenery and flowers...Um, this is a desert so well, this is all the scenery we got.  Not the prettiest but hey, a few fun colors.

Going down is always the hardest and scariest part for me to watch my kids do.  They slip and slide and I just hate it but they did great and so did Blake on my back :)
Super fun hike.  We'll have to do it again with daddy next time.

Splash pad - again and again...

These barely opened again for the season but man...I could be here every day.  They are so fun and I just love it for the kids.  The park is close by and the splash pad is awesome!
I love that I can enjoy my kindergartners before I don't get to have them every day, all day (boo-hoo for 1st grade).
Alicia with her cutie twins, Max & Ellie.
Sweet Jax saw that Blake was shivering so he grabbed him to warm him up.  Such a good brother to him.
*Phoenix, Gwen, Rio, Jax, Blake, Logan, Austin, Max and Ellie and Kade*
Love you cutie kids!
