Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

Yah for our awesome neighborhood!
It's Easter Egg Hunt time.
Each person that came had to bring 10 eggs per kid.  They were hidden and then when the hunt started, each kid got to go and find 10 eggs.
They all had SO much fun!
Logan, Jax and Austin
 Rio
Jax finding some in all those rocks.
Counting to make sure they got all 10!
 Happy boys!
 And happy girl too!
Austin helping Blake find some eggs.
He really is such a great brother.  He loves helping and loves making people happy. (most of the time) Haha
 Blake even found his eggs!
Way to go buddy!
Love you kiddos!
So glad you had a fun time and our neighborhood is such a fun place for you to live.
Happy Easter!

Classic, Saying goodbye to Miss Sarah, haircuts and more...

This year in Kindergarten, Rio has met the cutest friend and we all just love her and...in October, we had a ward split and so just our street got cut off from the rest of our neighborhood!  Ya, I know...at first I was actually really sad about it for my boys because they wouldn't have any of their friends in our ward anymore but as time has gone on, it is great!  I love our ward so much and the people on our street are amazing and wonderful people and I'm very grateful for the change.
Anyway, Rio's friend from Kindergarten is now in our ward!  Her name is Drew and she is super cute and her entire family is amazing!  Her mom has become a really great friend.
So...onto the post.
We went to Classic Skating with this fun family when we had a little time off in March and we had so much fun with them.
Down the huge slide they go!
*Rio, Logan, Taylor, Jax, Austin, Drew and Camryn*
How many kids can fit in this little taxi?
Pizza time!
They had so much fun, using their scooters, playing in the blast zone and bouncing all over in these bounce houses.

In March, we found out that Logan's Terrific Tot teacher was leaving :(
I was so, so sad about it.  She was so awesome with this rowdy bunch of boys and handled them so well.  Logan had a really bad experience with one of his other teachers a few months ago.
According to Logan, she had yelled at him in the bathroom because he had peed on the seat a little.
It upset him so badly that he would not want to go to school and would even cry about going.
I finally confronted the teacher and told her what Logan had told me and she apologized to him and things got a lot better.
Usually, I would have just let it go and hoped things just went away but Logan is such a mature thinker that he knew he didn't go anything "wrong" and it really hurt his feelings.  He said, "mommy, I didn't mean to pee on the toilet seat!"  It was a good learning experience for all because it helped me understand Logan a lot better too,  I don't want to be a "rescuer" all the time, but after Spence and I talked, we knew it was right to let Logan hear her own words rather than mom tell him it was okay.
Anyway, this is Miss Sarah and she is fabulous and Logan loved her!  She was amazing and so kind.
He really missed her when she left.
Love these two little boys together!  Oh man, Logan and Jett.
I had to take these pics because Blake is in a serious "Blaze and the Monster Machines" phase.  In this pic, he was saying, "let's Blaze!" so Blaze could go super fast!
We also had time while the kids were off track to do something we rarely do, play with Play-Doe.
Cute, little people makin'
And then, we did haircuts as well...
I had felt for awhile to have the boys do their hair differently but didn't know how I would like the new hairstyles that boys have now.
Well...what do you think?
I think it's fair to say that Logan's face says it all...
not so much!
And here's Austin's -  he really wanted this style and well, it lasted two days and then back at spikey!
We also made it to the skate park during their break.  So much fun!
These kids absolutely love riding their scooters there and I love that there are no "big kids."

St. Patricks Day!

And here we are!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Our little Leprechaun left a super fun scavenger hunt for the kids to do and at the end, was this!
Green M&M's, Green 7-up, Green Hi-Chews and "gold" Rollo's - what a clever little guy he is.
The kids had an absolute blast!
He also left this little mess so they knew he had visited.
Here is a close up of their little gift they made him - complete with a bed, a Lego slide and stuffed animal friends :)
Oh, this little guy took the time to make all the kids these rainbows with clouds and gold.  They were thrilled and enjoyed their yummy breakfast, or at least part of it :)
Footprints to show his path in and out.
Such little, cute feet!
My kiddos were off track during this holiday so we all get decked out in our green and played the day away together.
We all had yummy Nutella Shamrock sandwiches and lots of green jello, green pudding and green juice to boot!
Even Spence got a special treat in his lunch.

Love this holiday - marks the start of Spring and warmer weather!
Love it!

Getting ready for the Leprechaun to come!

Oh Rio is so kind to this little one...he climbs, kicks and rolls all over her (and everyone) but she lets him and loves him for it :)
She's so sweet to him.

Well, on 3/16, we had to get ready for the sneaky Leprechaun to come but this year, we tried to clear away from "trapping" him and make it more fun to "be nice" to him instead and not try and trap him.
They all liked that idea because, "we won't trap him anyway, he's too sneaky!"
So, we set out Lucky Charms in a bowl for him and the kids made a nice little rest area with "friends" to hang out with.
Look at those cuties!
They were so sweet to set out the play area for him and were happy that they could make him happy,
Pure love for these guys!
And now...to set up!

St. George - Part 3

Well, a few days later, our trip came to an end but not before we got in one last swim.
Little Blake weighs about 2 lbs. so he is always cold unless it is blazing hot outside.
So, he cozied up to his blankets before heading out.  Oh, I love him!
Sending a message of love to daddy!
This little bug...he was so cold in the pool although it was like high 80's that day :)
 Great swimming Austin!
Funnest pools there!  We always have so much fun!
However...Logan about gave me a heart attack this day.
He was bobbing up and down saying, "peek a boo" with me.  He was standing on the steps so he had to duck way down to go under water.  By the way, this kid loves his floaty and honestly doesn't take it off ever!
But... he was waiting for me to get in and get Blake in.  I was outside of the pool holding Blake and watching Logan play peek a boo when Blake dropped his toy he was holding and I turned to bend and grab it off the ground.  I turned around and could see Logan under the water where he had been playing.   But he didn't pop up and say "peek a boo" so I put Blake down and jumped into the pool.  It seemed like I jumped 100 feet when in reality, it was probably 10.  It felt like it took forever to get to him but I grabbed him and pulled him out and he was crying, so breathing.  He said, "mommy, I was saying, mmmm, mmmmm,"  - like he was talking under his breath.  He is the cutest kid!  He had slipped off the little bench he was standing on playing and couldn't get back up to stand up.
Scared me to death!
I kept watching him and wondering if he was really okay but he really was.  I prayed and prayed and prayed his lungs would be clear and he would be okay.  We all thanked Heavenly Father for helping Logan and for keeping him safe.
I pray that never happens again.
NEW RULE: no peek a boo unless I'm standing right by you!
This little guy loves his big sister and she loves him!
He does not however, like his flip flops :)
Say goodbye to St. George cuties!
Thanks for another super fun trip!
And...we are packed!  Stuffed full and ready to get home.
I was shocked there were no tears this time - shows it must have been just great!
This stop is our favorite rest stop on the way to way home from St. George.  Perfect little stop to get out, play on the little play area, get a little treat and/or drink and hop back in the car.

Thanks St. George for a super fun trip!
We had such a fun family va-ca to Sparks and St. George.
I love my family!
