Easter Hunt @ the Park

We are so lucky that the city Easter Egg Hunt is right by our house and within a super quick walking distance.  This hunt is honestly over in like 30 seconds so we had to put on our speedy shoes and quick hands and get going :)

So here we go...

They made it!  Safe & sound and baskets full of eggs

Not sure why Minnie Mouse was at the egg hunt but didn't matter to our kids - they loved to see her and of course they were not shy to go and hug her

Oh, there's the Easter Bunny!  (Too bad the line was WAY too long for my littles to wait for a pic)  So we waved in passing :)

In the early Spring, it was so fun to let these kiddos "free" finally!  They loved being outside without coats and gloves and snow.

This slide was made for triplets!! SO cute!

Rio loves holding the boys hands on slides - it's very sweet

Logan enjoyed his day too with a nice book to read :)

We also went to IFA during March/Easter season to see their cute little ducks and chicks.

They were so enthralled and couldn't take their eyes off these little ducks

Rio stayed there staring for a long time - she wanted a little ducky - I had a few ducks growing up and although they were super cute, they sure made a big mess so it will take a lot of convincing for me to have ducks again

Dino Easter Bunny + Cousins @ Tales for Tots

 

Okay so start expecting a bad dash blogging spree again - I'm so behind!!! UGH!

Anyway, loved this day with the kids and their cute Gilbert cousins.  We went the Thanksgiving Pnt for Tales for Tots and the Dino Easter Bunny came (this was the week before Easter).  So lucky!

This is the strangest thing about my Rio - so she is my SUPER shy child with people but when it comes to giant creatures, she is all in!  She wanted to keep giving the dino huge hugs and high 5's - what??  Don't understand that yet about her :)

Austin was a bit hesitant this year but he couldn't resist in the end!

Here we go!! Through the star tunnel for the 100th time :)  They absolutely love it and still find some "star" song to sing each time - precious little moments

We may have an artist in the family!

We color quite a bit around here but I haven't really just said, "okay, go draw something."  But one day, I was doing something for work at my computer and Austin says, "mommy!  I drew a person!"  He was so excited!  This was back in March and I was pretty impressed with his adorable picture.  It has arms, legs, eyes, ears, mouth and a nose.  Pretty good for a barely 3 year old I thought!



Proud of you Austin!  Keep up the hard work and you can anything you want to do!!

Happy birthday cousin Ethan!

Starting the Spring Season off at the Zoo

 What a fun time of year to start being outside!

We took our first trip to the zoo this year in March and had so much fun!

 I guess it shows that I take WAY too many pictures when my kids start finding places to "pose"

Aww...so cute to watch this mommy elephant and her baby - our little kids thought so too!

Of course we made a stop at the carousel - Austin was so excited that he got the wort hog this time - I've talked to him about these animals and shown him pictures from our trip to Africa a few years ago so he thinks they're pretty cool

Can I just say that Logan is honestly the best baby?  We go a lot of places and he is always such a trooper and always so happy!

Interesting choices I thought:

Austin chose the cool and slower black bear. Jax chose the grizzly - need I say more?  and Rio chose the "pretty" polar bear

Angie's kids joined us too and picked their favorite - such great little friends!

The bear sculpture used to be their favorite spot but now it is this old, rusty bike!

They are so funny - I think they love it because they all "fit" on it and thought that was so cool.

What a lucky mom I am to be able to watch their simple joys unfold!!
