Triplets first day of Kindergarten! It is here!

How can this be?
I really didn't think that a little over 5 years ago this day would come so fast!
Man...they grow up so quickly and time just flies by!
It's Kindergarten time!
Yes, they started school at the beginning of August because they are year round.  Cannot believe it!
I was so NOT ready for it to come that quickly!  But, luckily it is Kindergarten and only a couple of hours so it's really no different than preschool in a lot of ways.
Plus, they  were so super excited, it made me so excited and happy too!
I am so grateful for these 3 kids and their unique, individual people that they are.  They always surprise me with their unique gifts and abilities as well as their unique ways of being stubborn, sassy and tantrummy - yes, tantrummy.  (I know that is not a word!)
And well, because Logan believes he is also 5, he had to join the picture too.  He's so dang cute!
Love you three so much and we are so proud of you and smart you are already.  Can't wait to see what you accomplish this year!
*Jax*
*Austin*
*Rio*
(just between us, she was a nervous wreck!)
I drive them to school every day because we live so close and so there are no buses for them.  The first day, the teachers said to stay near by until they go into the school when the bell rings so Logan, Blake and I walked them to their "line" and waited for them to go inside.
They had already met their teacher, Mrs. Cherry about two weeks before to do a few evaluations and meet her.  I could tell in Rio's face, all of a sudden, she was going to loose it!  I walked over to her and she was crying so I quietly leaned in to her and said a little prayer with her of comfort that she would feel calm and happy and have a fun first day.  She calmed down really fast and then walked right in with the boys.
The next few days, Jax and Austin (who were totally ready and happy to go in to school) would see Rio's hesitation and put their arm around her and help her walk inside - it was adorable!
Oh how I pray they will always help her and protect her!  It only took her about 3 days to be totally fine walking into school happily and she has loved it ever since!
This little one on the other hand...
he was also quite sad :(  I really think in his mind, he was going too.  He was so cute watching them go and saying goodbye.
Love you Logan.  They'll be home really soon!
(and yes, I did cry too but only for a few minutes and then it was back home with Logan and Blake and we were all distracted and playing).
We were all super excited when the "big kids" got home.
PS, now in the month of February, Logan now says, "we don't need to go get them.  They can walk home."
Oh how quickly things change :)

Random August Pics

Oh man..a little tummy bug hit these kiddos in August and it was NO fun!
Poor Rio was so sick and not happy about it - can you tell?
Love her!
Logan really does not like sitting down to eat.  He is such a busy, little guy that eating "takes too long."
This day, he was ready to go play and so he stuffed his mouth full because then he was "done."  Silly boy!
Our little skin and bones Jax was ready to go out too but freezing cold, yah, in August...
And then, the sickness hit our little Blake and he so wanted to play but just couldn't so he settled for being in the play room but resting too.  He seriously stayed there for quite awhile....poor little guy.
Fortunately, those tummy bugs don't last long and just a few days later, these kiddos were ready for our Friday night movie night!
So much fun!
We all love that tradition!
Especially, this little popcorn loving cutie!
I had to include this pic because I think it is so cute!
Blake took a bottle for bed and naps until he was 18 months old (yes, I know that is a little long) so I had to take this big this day because I knew bottles were coming to an end...he's so cute!
And it begins...Logan figured out that Blake was the "little brother" now and he could tease and tease...uh-oh Blakers!
No, bring it on, he says!
Love these cutie kids of ours!

BBQ & S'mores with the Thompson's

What a fun, fun night we had with the Thompson family.
We lived by them in our town home last year and the became our dearest friends.
My kids absolutely loved them and we love Tyler and Kristina too!
They are a great family.
After our BBQ, we enjoyed some delicious s'mores and let the kiddos play and play and play!
*Ella and Rio*
*Jax and Sami*
*Kristina, Lucy, Logan, Sam and Spence*
All the girls!
*Ella, Sami and Rio*
And these cute boys too!
*Nick, Austin and Jax*
Oh man...grass on the tramp!  I guess it's okay if the kids are having fun right?
Thanks for visiting Thompsons!  We love seeing you!

Tales for Tots @ the Curiosity Museum

I am already missing my "older" kids being little with no schedule.  We can rarely make it to Tales for Tots anymore and we used to go at least once but usually twice a week at Thanksgiving Pnt.  We always had so much fun.
However this special summer day, we were able to make it work and we went and had so much fun.
Cute Logan finger painting his dinosaur.
After Tales for Tots, we went through the museum and let these littles play and play at Water Works.
Let's just say that Blake had so much fun and was SO, SO WET!
This is how you play in water...smocks and water boots or flip flops!
This girl takes awesome care of her little brothers everywhere we go.
Eating up every minute of play!
Love hanging out with these kids.

Cecret Lake Hike '15

Oh my goodness!  We are at it again...
Cecret Lake, here we come.
I absolutely love this hike but absolutely HATE the parking to get to it.  It has the tiniest parking lot and this day, we had SO many friends come with us that we waited and waited for spots to park and it took forever just to get going.
However, when we did, it was just gorgeous!
Our favorite hiking buddies, the Foulgers came with us along with tons of our friends from our Draper neighborhood.  We had such a great time.
*Logan, Jax, Reese, Avery, Lucas, Rio and Austin*
Pictures never do it justice but I love Little Cottonwood Canyon and the Alpine Basin - it really does have the prettiest wildflowers.
Rio and Avery taking off in front and making us all work hard to catch up.
Look at all those kids and mamas!
On our way up we (and by "we" I mean, the boys in the group) had to stop and climb up this crazy tall rock.  Oh boys...and in this group, there was A LOT of them.
Mommies and the kids. (Roxy had left with her cuties by then so they weren't in this pic)
*Chelle with Isaac and Eliza with cute Adyson who came along to help, Kristi with her Reese, Drew and baby Sky, Charmoin with Davon and Phoenix, Taryn with Hudson, Aamon and Caris, Alicia with 3 of her 5,  Cole, Madi and Cade, Melissa with Cash, Crew, Jett and Jagger, Jen with her Gavin and Conner and me with my 5!
WHEW!
Just look at those cuties!
Charmoin, Jen, me, Kristi
Chelle, Melissa, Alicia and Taryn
Cannot say how much I love these great moms and great friends!

BEWARE...
These next pics may have you rolling with laughter or gagging perhaps..
All I can say is, oh, my little dirty Blake, how I love your adventurous spirit!
Get used to baths sweet pea if this is how you play outdoors.
All the kids had stopped to eat lunch and so of course, Blake wanted to "get out" of the pack and well...this is what happens when you let a 15 month old (who wasn't yet walking) down on the ground.
And the answer to your question would be, "yes, he ate tons of gross dirt and who know what that day."
My answer, "he was in total heaven!"  Made for a happy baby and happy mommy.
Austin
Rio
Oh my little team.  These pics makes me SO, SO excited to go again.
I love being with them outdoors and in the sun.  I think we are all so much happier. (and dirtier)
Hee-hee.
