Grateful for friends - happy bday Phoenix!

At the end of August, the kids were invited to a fun bday party for their buddy Phoenix.  They had a great time at the party at Chuck-E-Cheese's.
Eating some yummy pizza before playing all the endless games they wanted thanks to my cute friend Charmoin.
Jax wanted to ride this forever!
Austin on the other hand, wanted to hammer down these little critters
Rio played with this little clown for awhile too - she was so cute!
Phoenix and Austin also got in some bball time
 Austin and the ladies :)
*Eliza, Paisley, Austin & Roxy*
Cute Roxy went into the ticket whirlwind and all the rest of the kids were glued with fascination watching her - it was really cute!
 Present time!
And of course, there is no going to any arcade place without wanting to play "Deadstorm Pirates" - what is it with boys and pirates and guns and shooting???
I am so not a fan but I've always refused them playing that game but I finally gave in and let them play.
*Jax, Ammon and Austin made a great team*

TRAX ride & Church History Museum

We decided to venture out again one day after preschool and head downtown on TRAX to the LDS Church History Museum.  There is the cutest section for kids and so many things to do.  I reminded me of Discovery Gateway on a much smaller scale but honestly just as fun and it was FREE!
Little Logan our navigator for the day - he was ready with his map!
Austin & mommy ready for our fun ride!
Jax and Austin goin' fishin' off of Noah's Ark
Jax really thinking about catching his fish...
Rio was a bit more confused about how the pole actually worked but once she figured it out, she caught her fish the quickest!
There were really fun interactive computer games that had paths for Lehi's family to find him by the Tree of Life and for Noah and the animals to get to the ark - the kids had a blast!
There was an adorable section where they could try on clothes and watch a couple from Spain dance and the kids could copy them and dance right along - Rio was in heaven and I loved that the boys got to wear cute little vests and dance too!
Lia and Rio ready to go!  So cute right?
Lucas, Jackson, Austin, Jax and Hunter and Kaden were up front!  GO BOYS!
Jax, Jackson and Austin ready for the rescue with their food storage in back :)
This kitchen was so cute - you could "feed the missionaries" with the garden food and other things as well - so cute!
*Lia, Austin, Kaden and Jax*
Logan had been walking for about a week or so at this point and he walked right over to the fish pond and started fishin' with his bare hands!  He is quite brave!
All the mommies
*Katie, Angie, Roxy and I with little Karson at my leg*
We tried to get all 13 kids in this pic but the angles weren't quite working :)
*Hunter, Lia, Kaden, Jackson, Kennedy, Avery, Reese, Rio, Lucas*
Jax was sitting on the ground with the two babies: Logan and Karson and Austin was having a meltdown on the side so he missed out entirely on the pic
My kiddies love Roxy and Austin was thrilled to sit by her.  Not the best pic of Austin :) with his eyes a little drowsy looking but I love it - she is such a great friend!
Jax is just like me - he can and usually will fall asleep anywhere and in any position - ha -ha
 Worn out little guy
He changed positions and leaned up against Rio - she was a bit surprised but was sweet and let him rest his head against her
All the kiddies minus Karson waiting for our ride home -
we had such a great time and honestly the cheapest play date I think I've ever had!
If you've never been, it is so fun!

Logan's first "real" hair cut and his adorable mischief

Our little Logan is such a joy honestly!  He is so super sweet and absolutely loves his brothers and sister.  These few pics are a little tribute to him and his "cuteness"
Logan got his first hair cut when he was about 9 months but just a little off the back and top then.  At the beginning of August, Logan got his first "real" hair cut meaning lots of hair fell to the floor :(  It was very bittersweet to watch.  My cute friend Alicia cuts their hair and she is so kind and patient with kids - love her so much!
Logan looks like such a little stud doesn't he?  And his eyes are do die for!  Don't know where he got them but man they are incredible!
He started pulling himself up onto things when he was about 10 1/2 months but then he started to use his "walker" toys at the beginning of August as well and started to want to go down stairs as well.  He thinks he is so big and is SO ready to walk all by himself!  But for the moment, he used his walkers and was so excited to be moving around.
"Hey!  This wall is in my way!"
He absolutely LOVES this book and will look at it for so long just turning the pages ever so sweetly until he rips off the tabs!  Yes, his favorite book is now without many of the lift the flaps but hey; he still loves it
Logan's other favorite thing to do is to find anywhere he can get and then he gets stuck because he can't find his way out.  Take for example this chair - he honestly climbed inside that chair at least 10 times until mommy finally wised up and let him find his own way out and he was SO excited and proud of himself!  Now that he's concurred climbing out of chairs, he has moved on to garbages, cupboards, the pantry and his favorite, the fridge!  This kid is one quick mover and is starting to throw the biggest tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants and doesn't get to play where he wants!  Whew!  I forgot how busy these little 1 years can be :)  Maybe it's because the triplets were in confinement most days and we let Logan roam free...hmm..maybe his mom and dad should wise up!

Secret Lake up Albion Basin

I was so excited to hike this with the kids because I hadn't been there forever and I remembered it being really beautiful and pretty short so I knew the kids could handle it and do great!
Tracy with her girls and another triplet mommy friend Lisa and Roxy and her Reese getting ready to go straight up the mountain!
My friend Lisa's kids: she has two older girls and then BGG triplets and my three just taking a little break after their first big up-hill climb
Look at that!  Going straight up and not one complaint!
Cute Lisa leading a big pack of kiddos toward the lake
Beautiful Secret Lake
Me and the best hiking crew I know!
Seriously, they are amazing little hikers - I say it every time but they are!
Just a better view of the lake & beautiful surrounding trees
Logan was DONE being in the pack and wanted down to climb around.  Usually that is just fine but up here, it was steep rocks and not much to climb on but that didn't stop Logan.  He was showing me that he'll be a great hiker too!!
We stopped to eat lunch at the top - it was so peaceful and gorgeous.  I hope they'll remember these sweet moments like I will
 Roxy and her kiddos
Logan loves Roxy - it's so sweet!

One last family photo before we headed back down
Jax and Austin as usual - finding their favorite hiding spot for a camera moment :)
"Watch out Austin and Rio, I'm coming in!"
The sign of a great hike!  Dirty bottoms :)
Love Austin's little smirky smile
Love this cute pic of Avery, Roxy's daughter - she looked so cute just wandering through the meadow

I had to take a few "nature" shots although I don't have the best camera.  It was still so much fun and so beautiful with all the wildflowers - we had a great time once again and I'm so grateful for little adventurous kids that will do anything with me!  They are such incredible troopers and are always up for a challenge.
Love you 4 cuties!
