Uncle Marc's brithday

Happy 38th birthday Uncle Marc.
It was so fun to have the Gilberts here to celebrate Marc too.
We just love having them around.

This game...
...with dads and uncles around, you know it gets kind of dangerous but super fun!
They would reach on the tramp and grab the kids legs and pull them down.
Worked really well for some kids and a little less well for others :)
Fun family time though for sure.
Getting ready for the cake!
Love these kiddos and their Uncle Marc.  We missed the Posey family this time around :(
*Rio, Hayden, Marc, Austin, Blake, Preston, Brinlee, Tyler, Ethan and Logan*
 Find Waldo...I mean, Spencer.
Love Marc and Kari.  We are so grateful they found each other.  So great for one another!
YUM, YUM!
Boston cream pie and ice cream.
Happy birthday again Marc.  Love you!

Rainy, cold soccer game but so much fun!

Oh I love soccer!
Our boys are pretty good at it and love to run and play hard and they are having a blast again this season.
This particular game however, was another super rainy one and COLD!
We had our shade tent up for protection from the rain just in case.
Jax was grateful - he's such a skinny minny.
Austin is #8 right there.
and there too - running as fast as he can down the field.
Spence, Logan, Austin and Blake decided to gather inside the tent to warm up a bit too.
I got to have the big umbrella instead so Austin decided to join me outside the tent.
Such a fun game.  They won of course!
Uncle Andrew and Aunt Kisty were so nice to come watch this game.  Great aunt and uncle!
Thank you so much.
Love this coach of ours.  Jeri is awesome and has been so sweet to these kids!
Awesome team here but missing a few in the pic.
*Jax, Austin, Boston, Rylee, Scout, Torah & Mia*
Jeri was super sweet and handmade all of these kids their own and personal award certificate since the league doesn't do that.
She's so great!
Jax got "the bravest defender" award.
Austin received the "best ball control" award.
Love these boys and love watching them play!

Bonnie's surprise 70th birthday!+

Bonnie turned 70 this year so we had to do a big celebration!
It was Kristin's idea and she planned to come into town and surprise her and...
...we totally did!
It was so fun.
I was in charge of making the cakes and this was it.
Turned out pretty cute I think and it was YUM!
Happy 70th Bonnie!

Ranger got a wee bit tired during all the festivities - Heehee.
However, Lennox was happy as could be that Ranger sat down.

The following pics are when Bonnie walked in the door..
...she was so surprised!
We had told her that we needed a sitter for the kids that night and I'm pretty sure she was happy to do the party instead.  (although she is always willing to help).
She was beyond thrilled to see Kristin and the kids.  I think they were her favorite part of the whole party.
Love you Grandma.  They were so exited to celebrate with her.
I had to take this cute pic of Blake and Spence that night walking up the steps.
So cute - daddy and his little boy that is growing up way too fast!

Play time for the littles.
Preston and Blake - good little buddies and friends.
The Morris crew - or one of them :)
Such a fun night and I'm so glad we got to celebrate her.  She is truly a one of a kind.  We are all better because of her and her presence in our lives.  She is kind, giving, honest, generous and selfless.  Love her example!  Love her!
Happy Birthday Bonnie.

Fun kid pics: mommy gone, poppin' corn, new bed and new game

I went on my annual Vegas trip in May and Spence made sure to take some fun pics of the kids while I was gone.
That smile...
Logan...seriously?  His faces and clearly, he needs a haircut!  HA!
 My boys!
 And my sweetie girl!
(and Lennox in the back as well - hee-hee)
When I go out of town (once a year), I leave the kids "things" to have each day I'm gone.
One day, I had left them this game called Mustache Smash.  SO FUN!
Apparently, the kids loved it and Spence taught Blake to say, "Helloooo" when he held it up.  So cute!
I tool this pic one day because as I was doing the dishes, I was able to look into our backyard and was just so grateful to have our land and live where we live.  It is beautiful and we are really blessed!
These were the cards that the kids left me when I was gone as well as one Rio made for Spence too.
So sweet - I miss them a ton when I'm gone but knowing they are with Spence and happy, it makes it all okay.

Spence had been wanting a new bed lately and so...he got one.  It's called a "purple bed" - he'd been researching beds and found this one and had to have it.
So...he and Blake and I were testing it out to make sure it was cozy.

Friday night, movie night means popcorn so rather than microwave it, we made it from the kernels on the stove.
 SO FUN!
The kids thought is was so cool.
Totally worked!
It's crazy right now as I am writing this in January but these were taken back in May to see the lightness of outside.  I know it was probably 645/7pm and it looks light as could be right there.
So crazy.  I'm envious of that light and sun right now...(enduring the winter right now and tons and tons of snow)
Love Blake.  When he would get tired, he would grab his blanket and just lay down - not in his crib mind you but anywhere we all were!  Love him so much.
I just had to take this pic!
Logan has been like this since he was a baby - ALWAYS one sock and/or shoe off or the other way around.  It is so funny and I find myself constantly asking him, "Logan, where is your socks?  where are your shoes?"
This boy...sometimes I wonder about him.
