Week 25 - Update & a new bed

First things first: my sweet husband is either just very, very sweet or is completely sick of me complaining about how I am not sleeping well at all. So... on Saturday, we went out and he bought me a new bed. Here it is:

I totally love it! My new recliner. It is so cozy and my ribs don't hurt at all in it. We got the idea from the many blogs we've both been reading about multiples and sleep. This is the best there is I guess so now it's mine. Yeah! I actually was able to sleep for a solid 5 hours each night since. Amazing! I love it! Thanks Spence - I love you for taking such good care of me and our babies.

Here we are now at week 25 and I couldn't be more happy and feel more lucky and blessed by that. This week was a great week! Pregnancy update: I feel great - a little tired but not horrible. I'm coping through everything else and am grateful for the progress of the babies. I saw my peri doctor, Dr. P and he said things are still looking really good. The babies were doing great and looked great on the usound. I haven't heard back from my OB about the glucose test so I'm guessing that means no problems there. I'm seeing them this week so I'll make sure but it looks like I'm in the clear for GD.Here is their latest heart rates:
BABY A: 146
BABY B: 134 (a little low but he moves around so much, it is hard to find an accurate reading)
BABY C: 144

One of the biggest factors in pre-term labor is your cervix length - (sorry for the personal info here) but apparently, it is most important. And my length is great - no major signs of anything happening there for now. It definitely shrinks over time but it is still doing its' job and holding strong for the babies. This time it measured about 3.5 and 2 weeks ago, it was at 3.9 so not too big of a jump. He told me that I could still work since I sit mostly and I think that is a good idea. When I'm home, I feel tempted to clean or arrange things in the babies room trying to feel organized and ready and that is much worse than sitting in my chair at work. He agrees apparently so I am still working. I love it though so I'm so glad I can do that as long as possible. I don't know what I'm going to do afterwards - everyone asks but I really don't know yet. Too hard to tell what will happen in the future with that area of life.

I am starting to get a bit nervous about the actual care of all the babies at night when they come home. I know I have tons of help but the reality of it is sinking in and I'm over thinking things for now. My friend Natalie called me last week and helped a lot with that. She has twins and so she was able to help me see the reality of what kind of help I will need. Thanks Nat! I appreciate your expertise :)

My friends Jenny and Chelle did a ward shower for me on Tuesday. Thank you so much you two! I seriously cannot thank you enough for all your support over these years and your friendship means the world to me. Thank you, thank you! And thank you for all of you that came and supported us. I have the best neighbors and friends - I can't thank you all enough for your support and kindness.

I went to lunch with Em and Meliss this week too for Melissa's bday. Happy birthday Melissa (last week). Love you! Thanks for all you do! Alta is now in the region playoffs and heading their way to the semis and finals at the "U" again, hopefully. They played and won - yeah! Later that night, Ranie and Colin came over and we watched the very scary, "Watcher in the Woods." Remember that movie everyone? It was so fun! I am the biggest baby when it comes to being scared - I can't handle anything anymore so this Disney show from the 70's or 80's was right up my alley. I love to see you, thanks for coming over!

I was so excited to be able to pass out candy to our cute neighbors and friend's kids on Halloween although Spence got up a lot more than I did. It was so fun to see everyone. Lennox was a mad man racing to the door every time. He is so cute! We love him so much - he's one of my biggest motivations to staying off bed rest. That might sound so dumb but it is true! He is the cutest thing ever and makes us both so happy!

Anyway, another great week! Things are slowly coming together at our house too. Next big hurdle is having to get a new car. Any ideas anyone of a car that could fit 3 infant car seats in the middle row? Let me know...

  1. You are going to love your recliner. I have been sleeping in mine for about a month now! I got it when I was pregnant with BAylee and it was the best purchase. It is perfect for nursing and rocking babies in too! As far as a car....I think you are probably going to have the best luck with a mini van. I have a Toyota Sequoia. they are pretty big but there is no way I could easily get three infant seats in the middle.
