Neighborhood Summer Fun (including a sliced almond)

We had such a fun ward party this June and absolutely are loving our ward and new friends.
Laurie put together a super fun Hungry Hippo Game for kids and adults to play - it was hilarious to watch and so much fun to play.
Here are the kiddos ready to figure out how to play by watching the adults :)
Rio and Jax figuring out their strategy - so cute to see them work together.
And, here they go!  Rio pushed while Jax collected the balls for their team.
Logan and Austin were the next team to go - love them and I was super impressed how they worked together.
My kids were super helpers to other teams as well - HAHA - we don't call them cheaters, just super helpers.  I wish I had pics of Spence and I doing it - it was quite funny.  I had a skirt on which did not help the situation but we had lots of fun too.

My cutie Blake
This kid loves his mashed potatoes and corn :)

Can't wait for the summer!  These cute friends and neighbors hopefully will have lots of fun all summer long.

*Hayden and Blake*
Logan's little bestie, Nick came out to play too!
Oh man...this is a picture I won't forget!
Austin decided to cut an almond with a pair of scissors.  However, this was already after he had fallen twice, skinned his knees two days in a row and his elbow.  He then "lied" about it for awhile out of embarrassment and then finally we got to the bottom of it.  I really thought that he would have a sliced in half finger for the rest of his life but it actually healed SO FAST and just perfect.  You would never know what he did by looking at it today.  Crazy how their little bodies heal so quick.
Oh Aust...so glad he's okay.
These cute friends decided to help him feel better by making him cards and giving him candy.  So cute of them.

Shortly after, they decided that making a water relay race would be fun too with sponges and buckets.  Quite creative kiddos if I do say so myself.
They had so much fun and got so, so wet.  We pretty much decided that it was time to live in their swimsuits this summer.
Cant' wait to see their adventures!
