This year for Logan's birthday we were in Bear Lake and it was so fun to celebrate there.
Logan and Rio were anxiously awaiting his birthday cupcakes.
Cute Blake was so happy to be in his little saucer playing with toys.
Are we ready to decorate?
Logan was! Oh wait, he was busy chewing on his blanket :)
Great job kids! They look delicious!
Logan has been obsessed with Spider-man for the last few months and so a ball and Spider-man were the perfect combination for this one.
I love you cutie boy! Happy birthday!
We got him this cute little truck too - he loves things that go and was super excited for this one.
Daddy and Logan
Logan thoroughly enjoyed his birthday cupcakes!
He actually has grown quite a lot this year and compared to last year...he was extra clean :)
See below - ha-ha
Yah, he was quite the messy little guy last year and we loved it!
These 3 cuties enjoyed theirs as well - they were all so excited to celebrate!
Logan's 2nd obsession in the last little while is the movie, "Finding Nemo" so Spence and I attempted to make a Nemo cake for him.
It started out pretty good....
It was pretty fun. No one can say we didn't try :)
The end result!
What do you think?
Not that bad for two people who have zero artistic talent right?
It was complete with Mr. Ray, Squirt, Nemo and Dory
We had his family birthday party over at Sky and Matt's house this year since our little town home was a little small to house everyone...
My mom with Blake, Bonnie, Sky, my dad, Matt, Ranger, Marc and his cute girlfriend Kari (BTW we love her and hope she'll stay in the family)
I took the pic because I thought it was hilarious that Logan wasn't playing with all the little kids but instead he chose to play with daddy, Zak and Gabe and play basketball. He is a little sports fanatic already!
Ready for presents!
Anna and Halle were super excited to help with his presents
Grandma Morris stayed true to form and gave her gifts filled with candy also. Such a fun tradition for the kids.
Finally! his very own figurine set so he doesn't have to take his brothers.
HE LOVES fruit snacks so why not get the best of both worlds and give him Nemo fruit snacks all for himself!
His cousin Luke was super cute and gave him his very own present. He went and found a fire truck and put it in a bag and attached a little candy to it.
What a thoughtful little boy he is!
Cute Halle was so sweet to him. Daddy had to put his candy in his pocket because he DID NOT want anyone to have it.
The Fankhausers gave him this little jousting toy. He was super excited about it and was ready to play with it right off.
Watch out!
We even had "Bruce" napkins and plates.
Do you like your cake Logan?
Oh ya!
Happy 2nd cute boy!
Logan and I
Man, he is a cutie isn't he?
Logan with daddy holding his new, little friend Squirt.
True to form, the boys had to battle it out and play hard.
Uncle Matt is the best at starting these battles and so fun to play with.
Get him Austin and Logan!
Luke, Jax and even the big boys joined in for the fun too.
I think Matt was a little out numbered.
Papa Dougie with Blake
Grandma Morris was so fun too - she hopped right on the tramp and jumped along with all the little kids.
Then, the after party began with Dance 4 on the Wii
They all have so much fun dancing together.
Such fun memories we're creating with these fun kids.
Cute Ella was helping Rio and she just loved it!
Well, as per usual, I have to write a little recap and note to my birthday boy!
Logan, Happy 2nd birthday! I love you so much! You make our home such a loud, busy and happy place and there is no one we'd rather be! There is no one who has as much spunk as you do. You absolutely love playing and being busy. You love being outside and running around. I don't think anyone could love going fast as much as you. You often say to me, "mommy, I fast!"
I think you are such a handsome boy and everyone who sees pictures of you always comments how handsome you are. I think it is because you have this energetic light inside of you.
At 2 months old, you started standing up looking around you and not wanting to miss out on anything and you haven't stopped doing that. You are such a curious little boy and so full of excitement when you figure something out.
You have a very determined, stubborn personality which I say almost every day is a good and bad thing. Right now at two years old, it is very challenging for you and for daddy and I :)
For example, you insist on having the same breakfast almost every day unless I'm out but you eat oatmeal, sausage (your favorite) and usually a fruit or yogurt. That is one of the first things you say when you wake up, "Sausie?" You love your sausage!
However, I only hope and pray that dad and I can steer that stubbornness and determination in the right direction and give you the strength and motivation to use those two incredible qualities for good and then you will be quite the force to reckon with!
I love this pic below because it shows what a smart, determined little guy you are. We love it although I often say about you that I think you're an old soul trapped inside a little, tiny 2 year old body and you get so frustrated because you think you are 4 like your older siblings and do all that they do or at least try to. You have no fear and will try just about anything although at parks, you can be a little tentative at first and even act fearful but once you try it...you do it and love it!

This year you have been super interested in balls (that was your first word by the way over a year ago) and you've been a great little athlete already!
You run around the grass kicking a soccer ball and you are quick!
Whenever you'd see football on the TV, you'd say, "watch it!" When you were about 16 months old, you knew the difference between a soccer ball, football, baseball and a basketball. You knew what they did and would saw, "kick" "pass" "throw" "shoot"! Pretty amazing I think!
You also a little smarty pants! At 19 months, you already knew all your letters and letter sounds as well as your colors and most numbers and shapes.
You learn from 3 older siblings who are pretty smart themselves however - lucky you!
We took an adorable video of you then and have it recorded with you saying some letter sounds - it is one of my very favorites!
I always tell people that you are so incredibly busy but I think I've created that little beast who throws things and tantrums at times because rather than be as structured as I was with your siblings about things, I laugh at and with you when you're naughty. I can't help it! You're so dang cute! But, you are a good boy and when you turned 2, you suddenly became a much better listener.
You are a great brother already Logan. Around your 2nd birthday, you have started saying, "You okay?"
When the big kids get in trouble or time out or I yell you will say, "you okay Rio? you okay Jax? you okay Ausie?" You are very sweet, especially to Rio (mostly because she's so sweet to you).
When Blake came into our family in March this year, you weren't sure what to think about him and mostly ignored him for the first 4 months but when he started babbling and being awake more, you started to pay attention to him and have even tried to make him laugh.
At bed, we say to all of you, "Hug.Squeeze. Kiss" and do all of those things with us. Whenever someone leaves, you have to say that to them.
I asked the kids what they would say about you and they said...
*RIO - "he's sweet, cute and funny and loves to kick balls!"
*JAX - "he loves my stuff, playing outside, laughing at me, he loves coloring and loves his blanket."
*AUSTIN - "he sometimes bites me (very rarely however - haha), I love to play with him and he loves Hulk and Spider-man."
It is true sweetie pie, you love Superheros and know all their names even.
Logan, we are so lucky to have you in our family. Daddy and you have this wonderful, sweet relationship and you get so excited to see him when he comes home from work. Sometimes you'll say to me, "stop it mom" because you only want daddy to help you or pick you up, You are a cutie with mommy too and love to come with me wherever I go, "mommy, I come?"
I could talk about you forever Logan, you are such an incredible boy. I'm so excited for your future and what you do with your fabulous personality.
Love you Logan, Happy 2nd birthday!
