Bear Lake Trip August 2014

We made it!
Once again, we're here in Bear Lake for our annual summer trip.
The kids were awesome in the car and we were stuffed full - can you tell?
Here they are with all our crap for only a few days but hey, I don't think we forgot anything.
I love this picture - it shows all their personalities so well.
Can't wait for the trip with you guys!
First stop - dinner and of course delicious shakes and ice cream after in a covered wagon (because it was raining mostly)
Everyone do the ice cream scream!
We found ourselves at the indoor pool most days because it was a little rainy and chilly during the days we were there but to these little fish, it didn't matter one bit.  As long as they could swim, they were ecstatic!
Logan is such a brave little boy and just jumps right in!
Rio and I enjoying our swimming and diving together.
These two boys are so funny - I said, "let me take your picture" and they said, "okay, but we have to be lions."
Love this pool every year because it is perfect for the little boys
 Jax and Logan
 Silly faces!
It wasn't the warmest days in Bear Lake this year so instead of Beach Days every day...some                    days were afternoon walks to get a treat with the big kids while the little boys napped.
This cute place called Zips was a great place to play for these guys too.  Some old boats that were made into tables were perfect for playing on
You'll see this little friend of Jaxon's in a few of these pics - he is so funny and just loves this little toy.  He was more than happy to pose with him and then...
...had to have him pose by himself
 Love you Jax
Gas station time for treats all around!
(Love Jaxon pretending to be asleep)
On our walk, we found these cute chairs to hang out in for awhile.
Austin wanted to take some pics too so you'll see some of his masterpieces in the next few pics.
Love this kiddo and his many, many faces.
Austin was super excited for his Frazil
Jax's friend "Coony" joined us again for a pic with my Pepsi and his Frazil.
I cannot say how much I love this picture - Rio is the cutest little girl and I am so so incredibly lucky to have her in our family.  She is so much fun and I just love her smile here
Show me those Frazil lips
Most nights we were there were movie nights and the kids were so excited to cozy and snuggle up to daddy
Logan had to have his own chair however - sounds about right for him
I was so excited this year to go to the Minnetonka cave and to let the kids experience their first cave.
They had a blast and we got a private tour since no one else was there yet.  Lucky for us because let's be honest, the "full tour" was a wee bit too long for my clan.
Our tour guide was so sweet and carried Rio down the steps because it was so slippery
Logan and his best buddy Spence
Our cute little family
I so love these kids and Spence and love our time together just us 7
The last day we were there, we saw a sign for the "hot springs" and we were so glad because even though it was sunny, the temperature wasn't super high so the beach was out again and we were looking forward to these "natural" hot springs.
Um...yah, these were not what we expected...and this was Spence's reaction.  Love him - he is so funny!
Since when are "natural hot springs" in a pool???  What happened to a drive into the mountains and finding a natural spring?
Just teasing...it wasn't bad and they were actually just perfect for our kids and their ages so we had lots of fun.
Spence playing with the kiddies
Let's see...do we have everything?
Packing up and ready to get home.  The kids were NOT happy about it and Rio cried and cried and kissed everything in the house as we were leaving.  She is so sentimental and sweet and she really likes our trips.  She talks about them all year asking when we are going back to Bear Lake and St. George.  I guess we're lucky they don't know about Disneyland yet right?
The triplets and Blake fell asleep as soon as we started driving pretty much and yet this little guy (not surprising right?) stayed awake THE WHOLE time we drove home.  We didn't get home until about 1030!  Seriously?  What in the world?  He was such a happy little guy though and kept asking me "mommy, what that?"

*CANNOT wait until next years trip.  Family vacations are the best to understand and remember how amazing the kids are and how much they just want to have fun and play!*
