Last November in 2013, we moved from our Draper home that we lived in for 12 years and I honestly didn't think we'd move EVER. I loved our neighborhood, ward and friends in that area and it was in a fabulous location too.
(I'm just going to add pics as I write this post - there aren't very many but I'm making a whole "moving" picture book so this post only gets a few)
However, when our little Blake decided to join our family, I knew that we would have to have a different layout for our little family. I couldn't put my 3 year olds at the time downstairs by themselves and I didn't want to put a newborn in the same room as my 18 month old....
Needless to say, we decided to move and sold our house in about 4 days.
We were so happy but scrambling as well for what our new plan would be.
Spence and I thought and thought and looked and looked and prayed and prayed for where we should be and end up for our kids.
We loved our rambler but knew we needed a two-story with our little kids.
So we knew we needed to build again rather than buy to get what we wanted for the cost really.
We looked in about 3 or 4 locations and decided on the area we live in now.
Spence is amazing at this process and really has great connections, skills and a talent for building and being organized in this area. Good thing...because I am awful at it.
Without a ton being said, it was quite the process and WAY different than when we built before without kids. It is time consuming for sure but so worth it!
Our home is beautiful!
Perfect cubbies for Logan to fit in :)
He loved it.
Fortunately, it was Christmas right after we moved in so the space was taken quickly and we didn't just have Logan for decoration.
A couple pics of our beautiful bathrooms.
For now, the triplets share a room still (which they wouldn't change at the moment and neither would we), Logan and Blake have their own and everyone is super happy and we love the space.
We were very lucky to have found a townhome so quickly and to have been surprised that our landlord was our Draper neighbor was even better :)
We loved our townhome so much and my kids met some wonderful friends that they placed with every day and loved it!
We started from here with our dirt and still pregnant with Blake and ended up...
...here in this great home and wonderful area.
I already love it and hope and pray my kids will find great friends here that will be as mine were growing up.
This pic was moving in day and we had the best help from our families.
I thank them again for their patience, help and love while we built and moved.
So grateful to feel settled and at "home" once again.
