Week 24 - 2nd Hurdle Accomplished!

As I said about a month ago, I am now focused on 4 week intervals for my pregnancy. And we've just made it to the 2nd one. First was 20 weeks and now we have hit 24! So exciting! I am still feeling so good minus the 2 complaints that you will hear over and over again: ribs and lack of sleep. But who's complaining right? :)
I'm still working the same hours but a little less since I'm no longer taking new patients. And I'm doing mostly the same things. I don't vacuum or sweep since my doctors and mostly Spencer won't let me. Cute husband! He's more worried than I am I think about how I am doing during the day.

This week was great! Much less busy until the weekend. I had a doctor appnt on Friday with my OB Dr. F and things went great again. He said now that I am 6 months, I do need to take it a little easier and rest as much as possible. He measured my belly and I was 35 cm (is that right? cm?) Anyway, that is the same as someone with one baby at 35 weeks. I gained 9lbs this last month as evidence on my belly and face :( All for the best cause however so I'm not freaking out. That means they are growing so I'm happy with that. He checked their hearts and things looked good. Sweet little girl just so still all the time. Can't wait to meet them in a few more months and see their "real" personalities come out. My blood pressure was great 116/68 and I also took the glucose test but haven't heard yet on the results. I'm hoping I don't have GD. I don't know what people complain about with that drink - it's yummy. A nice orange flavored sugar drink - that's not yucky! I think maybe only my friend Emily and I liked it though I guess. I'll let you know if I hear anything negative about the results on that test.

Knock on wood but I'm doing great still. They're still moving around a bunch, especially baby B (our "bigger" boy). He moves a lot and is starting to roll more too so the movements are much more "rolly" than "jabby" feeling.

Friday night was the Alta game - so awesome. Once again, region champs! Yeah for them! Now it is time for the play-offs to begin. Saturday we set up for the Live Nativity in December. Our stake does a "live nativity" that is so awesome every few years. It is so incredible with real people and animals too. So sweet and so special - I really do love it but it is a huge task!!! I wasn't involved as much this year as I have been in the past but it is coming right along. Hopefully I will be able to go this year but I may have to butt in line :) That afternoon, my cute nephews had another football game and they won too! Zak even scored a touchdown, threw for one and got a fumble recovery! And my Gabe got to play nose guard - so amazing! They are so fun to watch. I can't believe how much they are growing up! Saturday night we went to the REAL Salt Lake soccer game with Jon and Erin. SO FUN! If you haven't been before, you've got to go. They are way fun, close to home and parking isn't a zoo. They won so they will be in the play-offs too. Sunday was just as crazy with church things and other stuff too. Maybe one day, Spence and I will be able to sit and talk about baby names..... I wonder when that will be. I love you sweetie!
Thanks again for all the support! Things are great!

WEEK 24: looking more watermelonish shape don't you think?

First baby shower!

I thought I would post the pics first and explain below. However, now that I see how many pics I wanted to post, I should have just done a slideshow. Sorry!!! I will next time.
Ranie gave us the cutest gift: the tag explains it all - I love them! Thank you!

Clothes, diapers, blankets and socks...

Swing time, BUMBO SEATS, Double stroller & car-seat

Some friend pics: a lot of you left before the camera came out - maybe you're happy about that though - thank you so much for those of you that traveled a way to get here - I know many of you did that namely Stacey and Elise. Thank you!

My niece Anna helping :) Thank you Lexi & Amy for modeling the BUMBO :)

On Saturday, I had my first baby shower! I am so grateful for everyone that came! Thanks so much for supporting Spence and I and these great babies. I got some fabulous things and am feeling much more prepared now. Probably not as well as I should be, but we're getting there!
My sweet friends Emily and Melissa planned it and I know Jamie and Alicia helped a ton too! Thanks so much you guys! I seriously can't thank you enough in words for your help and support. I know how hard you worked to get everything together! I had some friends bring a gift and some who couldn't come but still brought something. That is so sweet and thoughtful! Thank you, thank you! I was able to see friends I haven't seen in awhile and I was even able to have some "moms and muffins" time. (A fond memory for those of you who know what I'm talking about)

Anyway, thank you again. I really do have the greatest friends in the world. Thank you, thank you! I posted some pics of my gifts and some with people in them. I don't know who doesn't like to have their pic posted so if you are in it and want me to remove it, let me know. Otherwise, too bad! :) I love you all! I am humbled all the time by the great people in my life!

I'm feeling them move - Week 23

Another great week everyone! I'm so excited and blessed to be at this point so far with no issues. I am definitely feeling them all move now. They are so cute! What a strange feeling too. Spence has even been able to feel them which is so fun for him too. I can see them move across my stomach and make my skin move - so weird! I love it though because it helps me know that they are alive and well. And yes, I'm still a little paranoid. I really don't think that will go away until I see them and am able to bring them home.

We had a fun and busy week - I went with some friends to Gardner Village for "Witchapalooza" dinner and theatre. It was really fun! I love Halloween time of year - it is so my favorite! I don't know why but I love the costumes and decorations so any time to celebrate any "Halloween" I'm all over it! I had a church meeting this week too - I love my calling so much and serve with the best women ever! I love them so much and they are so supportive of this pregnancy and are always so sweet. I'm very lucky. Friday was the Alta game - go hawks! They won again! Sadly, this week it wasn't much competition though but this next weekend will the game to go to. I love it - Spence loves it too so we have fun! He's a great coach and the boys love him so much. We also had our ward Fabulous Friday night thanks to my friend Jenny. She is amazing and worked so hard to put it together. I had a shower on Saturday but I'll post some pics and info about that another day when I have a little more time. We celebrated my mom's bday too and Sky and I took her to lunch. Happy bday mom! I love you!

Great week - one more down and the next milestone is on the horizon....

Growth U-sound update

We had a growth usound appointment yesterday with our peri, Dr. P. He is so great! I am so lucky to have such great providers working with us. Anyway, things continue to look good. I feel so blessed and fortunate for this at every appointment we have.

The babies all looked good and healthy - they are growing so much too (as you can tell from my belly pics) Our little sweet girl is always so calm on the usounds - she is calm and mostly still. They boys on the other hand are crazy movers and they make it difficult to get accurate heart beats because they move around so much! So cute! In about a month or so, my usound tech said they could do a 3D usound so we are so excited for that to happen then. But all their organs are good and working properly. They are gaining weight and are almost pretty even now actually which I'm so glad for. I was worried about our little girl catching up. She's always been a bit behind her brothers.
Here is the info on each just for an FYI:
HEART BEAT & CURRENT WEIGHT:
A: 148 1.2 lbs
B: 141 1.3 lbs
C: 150 1.0 lb
The fluid surrounding them is great too - they are able to float around in there. I go back again in 2 weeks with him and in one week with my fabulous OB.

BABY A: (boy with his leg over his body - quite flexible don't you think?)

BABY B: (boy -doing the "thinker" position - just like his dad)

BABY C: (our sweet little girl - just laying there peaceful)

Who needs sleep? Week 22

Yes, this is my theme lately: who needs sleep anyway? It's not that important right? You know the crazy thing is though that I'm not really that tired during the day. Granted, I do get tired quicker at night lately for sure but I'm not really during the day. I really do feel so blessed to be feeling so good. I know I'm being watched out for and I feel the many prayers that all of you are saying. Thank you so much!
I've been going for daily walks still and feel really good minus the pathetic stiffness I feel. What is that about? How sad is that? Oh how quickly your body falls out of shape. I can't wait until later when I can do a little more than walk. But for now, my "taking it easy" method will work just fine.
We had another great week! Normal complaints as usual: rib pain, not great sleep due to no comfortable position and now a little acid reflux(I think). Since I've been pregnant I've had this pain in my throat but couldn't ever figure out what it was. Then I went to dinner with my friends Amy and Errin and Amy was telling me about her heartburn pain and how it hurt in her throat. It took a few days to put two and two together but I'm pretty sure that is what it is! At least I know right?

Work is still going great. Same hours and stuff. I'm still doing my weekly podcast with a friend and colleague of mine, Mat. We have a website called: http://www.teenesteemcouncil.com/ where we do weekly podcasts and blog entries about issues that teen girls struggle with. I love it. Our book that we've written is almost done being edited and we are so excited! I'm so glad that I get to do so many great, fun things with my work.

Feeling the Bulge Effects - Week 21

On a daily basis I have people asking me how I'm feeling and if I'm doing okay which is so sweet. I can usually respond with, "pretty good - I'm feeling a lot better lately." However, if I may say two small issues lately - my ribs are being ripped in half and there is no comfortable way to sit or stand to get around that. Two: I cannot sleep - I've never had insomnia in my life but I do now! I don't think it is just because I can't get comfortable - I can't turn my mind off. Sound silly I know since I teach people how to do just that on a daily basis. I'm wide awake though if I wake up in the middle of the night, it is the strangest thing. O-well. These are the costs I'm ever too willing to take to keep these babies inside a very long time!

I did have an interesting experience on Thursday that Spence thought was hilarious so I thought I'd share. Get your buckets ready just in case. Just teasing - it's not that bad. I often eat breakfast in the car on my way to work and that morning apparently was not a good meal choice: I started to get nauseous and sick and had no where to throw up! I found a cup that was in my car from the day before and tried my best to "aim" but didn't have the best of luck - I threw up all over the front of me. Fortunately, I had a sweater on so I survived the rest of the day without smelling horrible or looking like a mess. Ha-ha - how embarrassing! I spent time cleaning off my car and the floor mat before venturing into work that day acting like nothing had happened. NO EGGS I guess - babies don't like them. That is the 2nd time eggs have done that to me! No more - I'll have to get the protein somewhere else :)
All is good however with us - we're just working and trying to spend time together. I really wish I could be warm somewhere however. This is the time of year that I just want to be on a cruise ship in the sun. Boo-hoo :( I know...I've been too spoiled going so many places. We've been so lucky to have been able to do so many fun things. I'll just live through others for awhile.
The babies seem like they are doing fine though. I don't feel them a ton yet which always makes me worry but with their outward placentas I may not until they get much, much heavier. Until then, I just convince myself that they are okay and growing.

We had two fun bdays this week - Mike and Luke. Happy Birthday again! We love you two! Luke is now 2 and the cutest thing - he smiled on cue at every picture at his party. So adorable! We had a nice, relaxing weekend where we actually got time to spend together. It was a miracle! I loved it and am so grateful for Spence and his hard work in every area of his life. You're the best!

Well, here you go...

Week 20 - First Hurdle!

My first goal has arrived! I've broken it down into 4 week time frames now that I've hit the first one. I feel very blessed and happy to have made it here so far and now my mind is set for the next 4 weeks! Wish us luck :)
I had two appointments last week: the first was with my OB on Thursday - just a regular check-in appointment. I love my doctor and my nurse so much! I've told you before that my nurse is my sister's sis-in-law but basically she is family too. They are always so reassuring and helpful! Thank you, thank you! I also had an appointment with my peri on Friday. They did a usound to check their heart beats and placenta placements. They were busy, busy in there. I still don't feel them a ton but I do more every few days or so. They move around like crazy on the usound though - so cute! In fact, their heartbeats might be a little off since they had a hard time making them be still long enough to put to probe on their hearts.
BABY A's heartbeat: 147
BABY B's heartbeat: 155
BABY C's heartbeat: 147
Don't worry everyone - we'll get them names soon enough. They won't be labeled ABC for long :)
They looked great and growing. We'll do a growth usound coming up in the next few weeks which I am so glad for since then I can make sure they are growing like they should. I've felt pretty good lately but this last week, a little nauseous again for some reason.
Belly growing? Check
Ribs expanding? Check
Round Ligament Pain? Check
Well, all signs point to growth and the babies health so I'm not complaining! Thanks again everyone! We appreciate you more than you know. By the way, I've given up on the whole bare belly thing. I don't care now - it's only going to get bigger so I figure o-well.

WEEK 20:
