St. Patrick's Day - tryin' to catch him again!

This year of course I wanted to do some fun things for the kids to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.  I'm kind of nerdy like that I guess but I love all the holidays and the fun, magical things they bring.  It's such a short time that "Magic" exists in their world so I want to take advantage when I can :)
We went over to my friend Roxy's again this year to make traps to try and get that pesky Leprechaun.
They had such a great time decorating and Logan was super involved as well which was so cute!
All decked out in their St. Patty's shirts :)
Roxy and her kiddies and nephew decorating their trap
"Cheese!"
I loved Logan's shirt - it said "Little Shamrocker" - so cute and so fitting for this little cutie

The finished product - they did such a great job!
The kids made these cute hats and beards at preschool!  I just loved them so much
The night before St. Patrick's Day, the kids got their trap all set up and put the green Lucky Charms out to tempt him...
You can't really tell but they are pointing to a little green coin they set out to tempt him as well toward the trap in case he came in from upstairs
Getting it all tilted and ready for the completed spot
WHOA!  My belly looks huge!
After the kiddies were in bed, the real fun began for Spence and I.
We got their rainbows ready and the decorations out to appear as though our little, sneaky friend had visited us.
What a nice Leprechaun!  He left all the kids their own rainbow, marshmallow clouds and chocolate, gold coins
St. Patrick's Day arrived!
The kids were thrilled coming down the stairs to find that he had left them their rainbows
Oh man...he escaped again!
What cute little footprints he left behind however and he ate all their Lucky Charms!
Once again, he peed in the toilet and left his "green pee" behind which the kids thought was hilarious!  They also loved that he used the step stool to wash his hands - Hee-hee
Oh and yes...he left them a shamrock note as well...
what a tricky, sneaky little Leprechaun!
Better luck next year cute kids!

First Zoo day of 2014

I was so glad when my friend Ang called and asked if we wanted to go to the zoo.  It was so much fun and another beautiful day in early March.  We are so lucky to have had such great days already this year!
These kids had so much fun together and we had an awesome day at the zoo
*Karson, Austin, Lia, (Jada - a friend of theirs), Rio, Jax, Hunter, Logan & Kaden*
These guys are so funny - because I often take pics in the same places, they think we HAVE to every time we go.  Sadly :( these 3 are getting too big for this elephant trunk.  Boo-hoo...they're getting too big!
Who is that cute bird sitting in that nest?
Oh wait, that is my Jax.  He was so excited to sit in the nest all by himself - usually we're packing the kids in so he enjoyed his spacious nest
Austin was more interested in his map of the zoo and being our tour guide than getting his picture taken - can you tell?
 Carousel time!!
Logan was so brave and rode all by himself!  Rio was so excited to ride on the ladybug
 Oh!  There you are!
Austin knew what he wanted to ride on before we got to the zoo this time - he was all about the snakes that day!
There is Jax!  Blue frog this time - he was also pretty positive about his choice, even though it was far away from where I was with Logan.  He was super independent and was fine being alone on his frog

Two "cool" boys and another fun TFT

At the end of February, we met some of our "besties" at the park on a beautiful February afternoon.  I could not believe the weather and how gorgeous it was!
As we were playing, we wondered where Lucas and Austin had gone and my friend looked over and well..this is what we saw.
Two way to cool boys sporting their sweet rides.  Who knew that little boys were really into vans right?  They were so cute!  They were just leaning against the vans like they were 16 years old.  We couldn't stop laughing.  Love these two!
Afterwards, we went and got them all a Frazil - delish!
*Avery, Reese, Rio,Jax, Lucas & Austin*
Okay so I know this is not a great pic of Jax but it shows off his hard work at a Tales for Tots we went to near Valentines Day.  So cute!
Here is sweet Rio working very diligently on her chocolate dino scales
Austin's finished product
We love Tales for Tots and it was such a great way to spend the end of my pregnancy.  Not a ton of walking around but a great, fun place to keep the kids entertained and happy.
After TFT, we went and played in the sand at the museum and had a blast!  I thought Logan was bad last summer in the sand, well, I think this summer may be a bit worse....
Looking forward to beach and sand days!

Cute pics and a very first manicure for Rio

I just love that Logan is getting bigger and thinks he is just one of the gang.  He really does and it's adorable!  He says, "Pu" instead of "Up" to sit up on the couch with the big kids for snacks and a show in the afternoon.

Love this pic too - the kids love playing "burrito" with daddy and they have since the triplets were tiny, tiny and now Logan joins in...He wasn't all that impressed however and didn't really love it. Ha-ha.  His shirt was off because we'd just eaten and he was a mess!
What a cute group of yummy burritos though right?

I probably should have added these to our Valentine Fun post I forgot so I'm adding them now.
One day we went to Roxy's with another triplet friend of ours Julie and her girls to make cupcakes for Valentines Day.
The big boys all sat together at the same table of course - so cute!  They love being together.
Starting with Logan and going clockwise:
Logan, Rio, Hannah, Reese, Avery, Eden and Bella
 Cute boys!
Austin, Lucas and Jax
My friend Roxy does nails and she is honestly so amazingly talented and does such a great job.  So she offered to do all the girls nails for fun while we were there which was so nice and Rio was in HEAVEN!
She could not believe how much fun it was and just loved it!
Love that smile!  Nothing beats it
She was really concentrating on everything Roxy was doing and just loved learning all she could
The gang of girls and Logan.
Thanks Roxy, you melted little Rio's heart that day and she'll never forget it!

LOVING our Tales for Tots still...

President's Day came and went quickly but we made sure to tell the kids about it and talk about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln and how great they are.
I was surprised the next day when we went to Tales for Tots and they celebrated it as well - the kids thought it was so cool that they sort of "knew" what they were talking about.
We made really fun GW faces with cotton balls and got to get our picture taken too!  So cute!
A very somber Abe and a cute little George :)
Here are their little masks - silly kids.  I love Jax's energy - that kid is an energizer bunny and life of the party!
It was such a beautiful day that day that we went on over to the Farm rather than stay at the museum inside.  What a wonderful day to be outside.  We had so much fun and Logan was a joy to watch seeing all these animals for his first time since he probably can remember since last year, he was just a little bitty guy
First pony rides of the season and they ate it up!
The next week, forgetful mommy FINALLY remembered to bring .51 so each kid could smash their own penny.  I honestly had forgotten for like 2 months :(
But they were thrilled!
Showing off their cool squished pennies - so proud!
We met some of our good buddies there too - thank you Galloway boys for playing!  We loved seeing you
Oh man, she is a doll right?  Love you Rio!  You light up every room you're in!
