Tribute to Logan (3 yrs)

How are you already 3 years old?

I just randomly picked some pictures that I love of Logan to add while I talk about his last year of life.

It is really interesting to think how quickly time goes when I think about you.  The triplets were only 2 1/2 when you were born and our busy life was only going to get busier with you but we were so excited to meet you!

 I honestly thought you were such a darling little baby.  You were always pretty alert and looking around at everyone and everything you could see.

 These 3 little kids were so excited to meet you and play with you and man, you were ready too!  You loved hearing their voices and would sleep better if there was noise around you.  (good thing that happened every day right?)

 You were an awesome little eater from day one and that continued until about this year when you started to be Mr. Picky and think that you have to get upset about every meal.

You'll come down for breakfast and say what you want and then when I place it in front you, you start tantruming like crazy because "that is not what I want!"

Whew..it has made for many an interesting morning little one.

We can tell that age 3 is going to be a tricky stage with you because you are so strong willed and know what you want...however, what you want changes in about 5 seconds.. Haha.

Curious

 This pic shows your never ending curiosity for things and everyone around you.  You are the friendliest little boy and are always saying hello and introducing yourself to others.

We'll be at the store or a park and you go up to big kids or little kids or even parents and say, "I'm Wogan and this is Jaxon, Austin and Rio."

You'll talk to anyone and can play with anyone too - you are an awesome friend sweetheart!

Cuddly

 You still are a little cuddle bug.  When we do movie nights on most Friday nights, you always want to sit on my lap and sometimes daddy's to snuggle.  I go to the gym in the early part of the morning so daddy is always here when you wake up and you immediately run in to cuddle with daddy.  You tell us every single night, "I love you too!"  It completely melts daddy and I.  We love to hear that every night!

You are not a fan of cleaning or picking up after yourself and when asked, you usually say something smart like, "I can't, I'm playing" or "mommy, I'm busy."

We'll have to work on that.   However, you did help mommy a lot this summer with the garden and were the best pee picker and eater in the world!

 Adventurous!

Yes, that is you and always will be I'm sure.

You are always looking for the loudest, funnest, most exciting thing to try next.

When we moved into our new house in November of 2014, you couldn't wait for our backyard to be done.  You absolutely love jumping on the trampoline and swinging.

 Loving.

You are a loving little guy and you sure love your dad.  He totally melts with who you are and the things you say.

You love our whole family and ask when they are coming to see you next.

 Determined and Mature.

You have never once thought you were ever a baby.  Even now, as I am writing this, you said, "where am I?"  I showed you these pictures and you said, "I'm not a baby!  That's not me."  You've told dad and I this a few times and we just laugh.  Your brain and spirit are so mature that I really believe you never, ever thought you were a baby and you have always seen yourself as a "big kid."

 You LOVE your siblings and absolutely love playing with them all the time.

When they started their second year of preschool, you cried and cried and were so sad for about a month as we dropped them off.  You finally realized you were stuck with Blake and I for a few hours.  I had to make sure we did fun park days and outside things.

 Oh man, you totally still do this...it is so gross and I honestly have to wash your blanket a ton!

It's interesting though because I think you only do it when you are not feeling well or super tired now that you are "older."  The kids tease you and you chase them with the wet end laughing the whole way!

 Man, you are cute!

I hope I never forget how you say, "mommy" - it is a favorite sound for me.  I just love it!  You are my little friend when the big kids are gone and we often play on my I-pad and you love to play Sonic and Temple Run and well, you are REALLY good at it!  I'm not sure how many little ones your age could play like you do.  Is that a bad thing?  Haha.

 I had to add this pic because although you are happy and carefree about 90% of the time, the other 10%, you are this little one...

"I'm mad at you" you'll say and you even tell us that you won't play with us."

I smile every, single time I see it because this is so you!

Curious, super smart, a little naughty, a little sneaky, extra loving and eager to learn all you can.

Logan, we love you so much!  You are honestly a little light in our home.  You may have your little tantrums and meltdowns but you are generally a very, happy, delightful little boy.
Your older siblings love you so much and really this year have started to play with you and see you as you have always seen yourself - a big boy who can do lots of things!
I pray you will know how kind you are, how smart you are, how talented you are and can become.  Daddy and I love spending time with you and talking to you, in fact, everyone does!  You are quite entertaining!  Your laugh makes me laugh, it is so cute!  You run like you are the fastest runner ever and that you could run forever.  You love to play, kick balls, jump on the tramp and swing.  You love to help me make cookies and are the best cookie dough taster in the west!
I love you so much Logan!  Happy 3rd birthday!
