Crazy mommy & daddy! The things we do for REFLUX :)

The Prevacid hasn't quite kicked in yet - it is helping a bit but we're hoping it will start working a little better. Poor Rio & Jax - they are so miserable at times. So... Spence & I decided to raise up their crib even more than it already was to see if that may help until the medicine starts working. You can't really tell from the picture below but it is pretty slanted - good or not good is the question. It seems to help keep things down better and they are much less spitty but they still hurt when the acid comes up so we'll be putting it down over the weekend again. The things we do to try and help... they're gonna think their mom and dad have lost it!

The other pic is their Prevacid and the herbal one I think I mentioned before called "Colic Calm" - it is supposed to help with gas, reflux and colic symptoms. It seems to help too - I'm putting that on here in case anyone else needs an idea to help with their little ones.

All is still going well! I have to send out a HUGE thank you to our family and friends that are helping us feed the babies. All I have to do is make a quick phone call and you are here to help - thank you so much! We love you and are so grateful for you and your time.

Also, I have to thank all of you that post on our blog - please know that we appreciate your concern and friendship too! One day, I will get around to posting on your blogs too so that you know we read them and are grateful for you and your love of our babies - THANKS!

  5. We don't have much experience w/the reflux thing but sounds like you've got a handle on things. I'm laughing at your daily bottle stock in the fridge...what a picture! You need an entire shelf for all that, don't you? I'd offer to help feed but seriously, I'm worried about kid germs that I'm carrying. I'll offer when they're a little older:)

  6. Hey guys~
So four of our babies have had reflux, so I understand how hard it is to manage...What worked the best for us was liquid prevacid & liquid zantac. The liquid zantac worked immediatly and lasted all day. Then when the liquid prevacid finally kicked in we kept some zantac around for when they started outgrowing their prevacid. The combination works AWESOME (for our babies). Seriously, reflux is so hard to deal with having one baby...I can't imagine haveing 2 out of 3 babies having it! Call me if you have any questions!!! (801)440-1418 GOOD LUCK!!!
