St. George - part 2

While we were in St. George, Spence had to leave for a work meeting.  So...one morning we took him to the airport and said goodbye to him :( - we came back and ate a yummy lunch and then headed out to the park and pool once again!
No one loves it when daddy leaves because then it's just like a normal day with mom...but, regardless, we still had lots of fun and these kids sure love being "away" as much as they can be.
Lovely sleeping arrangements right?
At this room, we only had one bedroom so the kids were munched together on one bed which honestly, they love!  They may not admit that, but they do!
And little Blake was curled up in his pack n play - cozy as could be.
What was so funny about this night though was that just as fell asleep on the couch, the battery went dead on the fire detector so as you know...that beep is awful and so loud and squeaky!
I immediately called the front desk and they got someone over to fix it but I was laughing...it's 1230am in the morning, I'm by myself with 5 kids and of course, that is when the battery dies :)
Good time for adventure!

This park was super fun as well and full of sand!
This girl!  Don't you just love her?
She is so sweet and loves to pose for pictures.  I just love it!
And Logan, well..he just loves being messy and playing, playing and playing.
We had lots of fun at this park.
However, Logan decided he was going to go to the bathroom again so off he went by himself!
UGH!  What am I going to do with you cutie?  And it seems it is always when I turn around or aren't looking directly at him that it happens because it's not like this park was big...Logan!

After the park, we headed to one of our favorite treat places - SWIG!
Don't tell the kids that we could go to the one right by our house because it's way more fun on vacation!
Best snow cones around!
And the best way to turn into a Smurf if wanted as well.

St. George Fun - part 1?

I have the question mark because I took way too many pics and well, it's easier to break it down.
BATHTIME!
I know that our group bath times are coming to an end so we couldn't resist taking one more pic together.
Love these 5 kids so much!
Our TS that we stay at is so fun.  They have these little park all over the property and it's so easy to just go out to play for a bit and then head to the pool or wherever.  Love it!
These boys have so much fun together.
They argue yes... but they do have so much fun together!

Another park and later that day...
these kids could climb, jump, spin and swing all day, every day!
Rock climbing time!
Tough kids with serious skills!
Roomies - at least for one night :)
Perfect place for lots of fun!
On this trip though, due to late planning on my part - we honestly went to a new room every, single day!  It was such a pain but we did it and loved every minute together!

Our not so long...very long drive to St. George

So...that Sunday as we were in Sparks, we decided to drive to Winnemucca or Mesquite even to stay for the night and then drive to St. George the next day.
Well, we drove past Winnemucca and thought we weren't very tired and the kids were all asleep anyway so we drove on to Mesquite.
When we arrived at 12:54am..it was pitch black in the city!  Nothing lit up at all and no hotel signs anywhere!
They had just had a power outage and well, there would be no lights in any of the rooms.
So...needless to say, we drove on to St. George!  Yes, St. George.  We drove about 7 hours that night to get there but when we arrived at about 2am, we checked in and tried to sleep for about 4 hours until the kids would wake up.
It was pretty fun and Spence and I had a good time chatting.

The next morning, the kids had to play at their favorite playground at the hotel we always stay at.
Fun times with these cuties at our favorite hotel.
However, now that it was morning, we could finally get to our TimeShare place and enjoy the rest of our trip!
So, on we went and of course, on our way, we passed our favorite public park and had to stop to play.
Austin sure loves when I give him kisses - totally looks that way doesn't it?
Logan also decided to go to the bathroom on his own at this park (which is huge and on two different levels by the parking lot).  So..as Spence and I were searching high and low, I walked up to the bathrooms by the parking lot and he comes skipping out, looking at me like I'm crazy for wondering where he was...that boy!
He said, "what mom?  I had to go to the bathroom!"
Although I love his independence and confidence, that kid is going to be the death of my patience and nerves!

Hotel sleepin' & Hayden's Baptism

Well, it gets a little interesting when you have 5 kiddos and 2 adults in one little hotel room.
But...well, they love it and sleep great by each other.  Little cutie kids.
Love this little Blake.  He always thinks it is a little weird in the pack n play but he eventually figures out that this is his bed and he's okay.

And then...the next interesting thing is going out to eat with the crew...
Do our faces show you how much we're enjoying it?
HAHA!
Actually, it was okay.   They did really well and were well behaved for the most part but at Denny's, the older folks weren't really loving having all this noise so bright and early.
Mr. Orange Mouth  and his little counterpart behind him.

Well, on that Saturday, we had Hayden's baptism and it was just great!  They kids loved seeing her be baptized and all the cousins sang together which was awesome too.
Austin, Rio and Hayden
Grandpa & Grandma Morris and sweet Hayden.
Our little crew & Hayden.  Let's just say that Blake wasn't overly thrilled to have the baptism and pictures during his naptime.

Later that day, we celebrated her baptism with a super yummy cake that Mike's hotel made.
Love the line that kids were making for the cake - Hee-hee.

And then the wrestling and the shenanigans began!
Love these 3 together!
They have so much fun and I love seeing it.  Cute Rio needs to surround herself with more girls.
And then, there is the boys...
Love all these cuties!

We're so proud of you Hayden for your choice to follow the Savior and be baptized!
Love you!
